CERTIFIED QUALITY

Roughly one year ago Grandes Vinos y Viñedos decided to embark upon a process of internal improvement with the aim of enhancing the quality of its products. This process has led to the award of two international certifications: the International Food Standard and British Retail Consortium (specific for the UK), in which the company obtained a very high score, and the recent award of 14001 Environmental Certification and 9001 Certification.

The ISO 9001 standard is aimed at improving aspects of company organisation. Technical quality and correct company organization are vital to obtain a quality product that will allow the winery come up with the production needed for today’s competitive markets.

This standard places an emphasis on the participation and involvement of the whole of the company, making it a process-based system with the idea of simplifying problems. The emphasis is placed on achieving a management-oriented company with key importance being given to data analysis, particularly consumer data, and to continuous improvement.

There are two different types of certification: company certification and product certification. It is only in company certification that, apart from the technical quality of the product, customer satisfaction is also a key aspect, and it is for this reason that Grandes Vinos y Viñedos chose this type of certification, considering that it highlights the winery’s genuine interest in the wine it produces and the way it is produced in order to ensure maximum consumer satisfaction.

Another important element in the Quality Culture upheld by Grandes Vinos y Viñedos is the ISO 14000 Environment Management standard, with the implementation of preventive actions and a focus on continuous improvement.

Grandes Vinos y Viñedos has the intention not only to comply with this globalized legislation, the aim of which is to protect our environment, but also to ensure, as part of its company culture, the minimization of the impact of its activity on the fragile environment that surrounds us.

Last but not least are the IFS and BRC certifications that are required by large supermarket chains, particularly in other countries. Many of these supermarket chains require suppliers to establish quality management systems, especially food safety systems (the International Food Standard arose in Germany), and good agricultural practices in order for our products to be sold at their stores.

These certifications have been obtained through the leading private certifying body in Spain: Bureau Veritas. Without doubt, these distinguishing elements allow us to enjoy both national and international recognition and acceptance at all market levels.

All of these standard certifications are aimed at achieving consumer satisfaction in all of its aspects. We, in turn, are proud and satisfied to offer you these four certifications that have placed Grandes Vinos y Viñedos at the forefront of its sector.
